John Baker and his wife are partners in Natural Maths, a poublishing and education consultancy business. Their goal is to help bridge the gap between research and practice in maths education. By combining competence with mental computation with realistic problem solving, their work is proving very popular with kids who frequently become disenchanted with maths. John is also co-editor of the e-journal,Spreadsheets in Education.
