Currently, I am a full professor of Pattern Recognition at VU University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. My research is on methods of string and network comparison with applications in social demography. I published in journals like Information Sciences but also in Demography and the European Journal of Population. I am vice-dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Managing Director of Educational Programs.
