Allan C. Wechsler

MIT 1974 -- 1981, B. Sc. in mathematics.

I worked at Symbolics, Inc. in Cambridge, MA, from 1981 to 1992, participating in the renaissance of the Lisp programming language.

From 1994 to 2001, I worked at BBN Technologies in Cambridge, MA, working on speech recognition and logistics applications. Sometime in there, I collaborated with John Conway and Richard Guy in engineering the extensions to the traditional system of English number names presented in The Book of Numbers.

Since 2003, I've been based at Ascent Technology in Cambridge, MA, working on scheduling and planning software.

I'm interested primarily in number theory and combinatorial dynamic systems.
