Calendars exist which use two six-sided dice with digits on them to form all the dates in a month from 01 to 31. In fact these dice cheat by using a 6 which is also a 9. If we don't allow this kind of cheating we would only be able to form the numbers from 01 to 21 at best (the longest uninterrupted run starting a 01). What if we had more than 2 dice, assuming that we find the optimal arrangements of digits on the dice? What if we only want numbers from 1 up without any leading 0's?
