I'm one of, I daresay, many amateur number wranglers who enjoy reading about and being able to reference interesting sequences of numbers, and submitting their own interesting sequences to the OEIS for, hopefully, other people's enjoyment and reference.

Most of the sequences I've submitted have been investigated using a self-written suite of functions in GNU bc, occasionally branching out to consult the Alpertron, the Inverse Symbolic Calculator and Wikipedia as well as Wolfram's MathWorld and lately, Wolfram Alpha when progress is slow.
